What clay is best for sculpting faces?

i just started sculpting, i wanted to know if either firm or soft clay is best for sculpting, and if oil or water based.

If you want to fire glaze your work….
Use a water based clay

If you want to take your time and do a plaster mold afterwards…
use a oil based clay.

I prefer super sculptey which you can bake in your oven after your are done and doesn’t really harden or dry out while you are working…BEST OF LUCK in your artistic endeavors.
